Les Écrivains comes from Nicolas Morin's own vines in Mâlain, a monopole in the Ouche valley west of Dijon, surrounded by forest. The Pinot Noir grows on slopes facing south-southwest, on calcareous marl under a thin layer of clay, and the vines are about 65 years old and lyre-trained. The 2023 is certified organic.
